Polka Dot Baby Boy Shower
So, I don't actually get many opportunities to throw parties here at my house, but when I do, I love to decorate for them. This was a shower for a good friend who is finally having a BOY after 3 girls. We were all pretty excited for her.
I got some of my inspiration from Kojo Designs' Hippo Party, like the giant pom poms and the circle pennant. My favorite thing was the flowers. I think flowers spruce up any party. I found these beauties at my local flower shop. I can't remember what they called them, but online I see them called "spider mums". I found the beautiful milk glass vases at Goodwill for $1 a piece. I love how versatile milk glass is.
I also had tea station because it was dang cold outside and I love herbal tea. The tablecloth is actually a thrifted sheet that I cut to size and hemmed. And then I bought a yard of fabric that I based the party colors from and just squared it off for the center of the table.
There's no food on the table because it was co-hosted and a friend brought the food right before the party got started. We put veggies on the 3-tiered stand, and had yummy cupcakes, bowls of nuts and spinach dip with crackers.
As I mentioned here, we decided against the party games and went with tying a baby quilt and a simple wish book for the mama.
